ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Regardless of our individual opinion on the environment and global warming, home heating and cooling are the major domestic energy consumers and therefore the major contributors to global warming.
Gas Hydronic Systems are extremely efficient and therefore produce 20% minimum less CO2 than an equivalent ducted system and approximately 50% less CO2 than electric systems. Cost to replace or upgrading of our extremely "dirty" power stations will result in increased cost of electricity.
Exciting new methods of using solar power to compliment hydronic heating are now being developed. We hope to have more information on this subject available soon.
