Q. I am building a new home of a modern
design. Is hydronic heating able to be installed in this type of construction?
A. Yes, because of the extremely small reticulation
pipes and the radiator and convector options hydronic heating can be installed
in any home.
Q. Will a future energy crisis or change
of fuel of choice affect hydronic heating?
A. Hydronic heating is the most flexible
and efficient central heating available. Regardless of the fuel of the future
hydronic heating systems will be able to operate on that fuel more efficiently
than any other system. The most exciting fuel option for hydronic heating is
the solar option.
Q. Is hydronic heating healthy?
A. Hydronic heating is considered the healthiest
system available. It is recommended by asthma support groups and is beneficial
in the control of allergies and other health related issues that are aggravated
by ducted air conditioning and heating. Hydronic heating does not circulate
pollens, dust, dust mites, odours or other airborne irritants or germs.
Q. Who can install hydronic heating?
A. Only a specialist mechanical services
plumber may install a hydronic heating system. By law any system installed must
be covered by a certificate of compliance, only a qualified mechanical services
plumber may issue a certificate. A certificate of compliance insures your system
has a six year warranty. Lack of a certificate may void a domestic insurance
policy.
